2p!America x Reader [Congratulations]

Allen was in the dining room, with his head on his hand looking down at a copy of the confession  he himself wrote.  The confession he wrote to save the position of his dream job, it did save his position, his job…but at what cost?

The door opens, there was his sister in law (Y/N). His best friend.

He gets up  from his chair and runs up to her "(Y/N)! I'm so happy to see you, you have no idea how crazy things have -" the moment he gets close to her, he notices how cold her eyes are. "Allen…" She makes a small smile, that soon fades away "Congratulations"

She closes the door behind her, and takes him to the living room "…Congratulations, my dearest Allen, you just invented a new kind of stupid!"  She walks to a picture in a frame "A damage you can't never undo, kinda stupid" she throws the picture at him, it lands on his lap. It's a picture of his wedding, with (Y/N)'s sister, Elizabeth. "Open all the cages in the zoo kinda stupid!" She finally turns around a face him "Truly you didn't think this through?! Kind of stupid!" Her voice was about to break down to tears.  He didn't said a word.

"Let's review all this together, shall we?" she takes the copy of his confession that was on table. "You took a rumor, that only two of your "enemies" knew. Instead of just letting it go, you refuted it by sharing an affair that nobody has accused you!" Allen was about to say something but you shut him "I come all this way from London, so you just tell me you can't spend time with me, my husband and more important than anything, your wife and son!"

At this point she is just spinning and rambling in the spot  "Allen, are you really that afraid of what people says about you? Are you Allen? Because you just have prove the whole world that you are!" You say it straight to his face, making him twitch "You so scared of what your enemies will do to you, but you're so bling that you can't see that you're your own enemy!" she turns her back on him " Do you know why they do all what they want? They don't give two shits about what you can say about them! So yeah…" You take a deep breath "Congratulations!"  

He finally speaks "(Y/N), please… just let me explain!" you turn around and face him "Explain what? Explain why you cheated on my sister? Explain why you wrote this? Explain why you destroyed all the chances you had to rewrite your whole story?!" Allen gets up angry "It was a sacrifice that I had to do! Otherwise I would have lost it all!" he screamed that at the top of his lungs, he felt breathless.

… she looks at him in disgust "Sacrifice….?" she asks  "Allen, don't speak about sacrifice…" she pushes him back to the sofa "Allen, you haven't even met sacrifice!" She cleans her tears, before keep going "I married Oliver and move with him to London, despite  the fact I do not love him. He didn't want me to be alone, so I didn't complain" she looks at him in his eyes "but what really kept me alive was talking with you, sending you letters, anything related to you, really" Allen look at her, he was in shock "Now, I look at us and all I can think is "God, what have we done with our lives?"" He tried to speak but he had no words " But that won't wipe the tears I cried all those years over you…and we both know why I'm back in town" He take her hands "(Y/N), I…"

"I'm not here for you, Allen" she finally walks away from him, but he chases back "Wait! why?! Why you're telling me all this now!? Why?...tell me, why?" she did not look at him, she kept her back at him "I know my sister like I know my own mind, I'm sure you will never find anyone as trusting or as kind… If I told her, back then, that I love you, she would have silently resigned. She would have said "I'm fine", but I know she'd be lying" she rises her head, and open the door "Of all people, you should know that I love my sister more than anything in this life… so you can figure out why I stood by" you make a pause " I will always choose her happiness over mine! Every time…"

You turn around and face him one more time "… And for the longest time, I thought you loved her as much as I do ! But I guess I was wrong! So before I go, listen to me Allen, and listen well!" she takes him by his shirt " Never lose sight of the fact that you have been blessed with the best wife! and that as long I'm alive you WILL treat her right!"  she releases him, making fall off his back.

You turn your back walk outside of the house "Congratulations. You didn't lose your job… but you lost your wife"
